The brief from the artist/chef couple was to create a garden with plants that were either edible, fragrant or brought good luck. Pomegranates, guavas, artichokes, lavender, bougainvillea are some of the species planted. A double row of fine mesh chain link fences made a container for a bay laurel hedge, and created a very private front yard for a clothing-adverse artist. A few of the species we planted:
Bougainvillea (Bougainvillea)
Kaffir Lime (Citrus species)
Grecian Bay Laurel (Laurus nobilis)
Lavender (Lavandula species)
Banana (Musa species)
Guava (Psidium species)
Pomegranate (Punica granatum)
Thyme (Thymus species)
Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus)
Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus)
