Research in design emerges from multiple sources such as observation, experimentation, art, writing, walking, and the garden just out the front door. My design and research interests are broad: productive landscapes, climate adaptation, art and science engagements, designing with animal others in mind, and environmental ethics. My design practice is informed by recent years of teaching design, site analysis and site engineering, mapping materials, and other core and elective courses, and a long, working relationship with ecologically-engaged artists.
