The site is located on +1 acre in the La Jolla Farms area above Black’s Beach. The landscape is a series of garden rooms enclosed by low hedges, tall walls, and tree canopies. Cars park in a gravel auto court with concrete strips and a grid of low-water use New Zealand Christmas trees. A walk cuts through two 8’ high concrete walls (painted by the client’s artist son). An olive grove wraps around the house and veils views of the street.
